Job Description

Idex Solutions is looking for qualified Mechanical test technicians for our Client in Portland, OR.

The position will be working in a Test Center conducting vehicle mock-up assembly and testing.

Requirements:

Trucking/Automotive technician expreience.
Able to fabricate parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment would be a +++
Able to perform welding would be a +++
Operate a forklift
Read, interpret and follow basic install diagrams, specifications, bill of materials to accurately assemble products
Basic computer navigation and utilization skills
Preferred skill: CDL, diagnostic and troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities:

Support assembly of 23 trucks, 2 specs
Take measurements on trucks and adjust brackets/parts as necessary
Help identify, document, troubleshoot and fix issues
Maintain a clean and safe work area

Job Functions

Support assembly of 23 trucks. Project will require dissassemble of components on vehicles and reassemble for new configuration.
Take measurements on trucks and adjust brackets/parts as necessary
Help identify, document, troubleshoot and fix issues
Manufacture prototype components as required using manual machines (breakpress, lathe, cnc, punch, etc), welding, etc.

Basic Qualifications

5 years Trucking/Automotive technician experience preferred
Able to fabricate parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment would be a +++
Able to perform welding would be a +++
Operate a forklift
Read, interpret and follow basic install diagrams, specifications, bill of materials to accurately assemble products
