With ENOVIA X-BOM for VPM V4-V5, key ‘design anywhere build anywhere’ business challenges are addressed with improved communication and collaboration with global development teams comprised of internal and external resources. It enables global product development and change processes that provide the right information to the right users at the right time. A critical aspect of ENOVIA X-BOM for VPM V4-V5 is the bi-directional updates between the enterprise bill-of-material and the design work in-process managed in VPM V4 or V5. As design changes occur in VPM V4 or V5, analysis of the impact on the overall enterprise definition of the bill-of-material can be performed. Likewise, when changes to the bill-of-material are initiated due to a software or electronics issue, analysis of the design impact can be performed before proceeding with the change.
