DELMIA V6 NC Machining Overview & 2012x Enhancements
This session will discuss the V6 NC Machining solutions available in from DELMIA. Originally part of the CATIA product in V5, DELMIA takes these industry-leading manufacturing tools and brings them into the V6 architecture. It provides the capability for NC programmers to capture and leverage enterprise intellectual property and to collaborate with other stakeholders as they develop, validate and optimize their NC tool paths. Find out the benefits of this new architect for NC Machining.
Roots Of KBE: Leveraging CATIA V5 Common Knowledge Tools
In the rush to learn and implement geometric modeling practices in CATIA V5, the opportunity to leverage sophisticated parametric modeling is often overlooked or underutilized. Disciplined modeling practices coupled with the implementation of parametric relationships and other CATIA Knowledgeware features serve as the basis for building reactive and intelligent parts and products.
This session will focus on how to leverage KBE tools that are part of the base CATIA V5 install and offer a look at some additional tools available through the Knowledge Advisor add-on. Attendees will learn about parametric modeling strategies in CATIA V5 and creating relationships using formulas, design tables, equivalent dimension tables, rules, checks, actions and reactions.
Managing Bills-of-material using SmarTeam BOM
We all know that the data represented in CAD models is typically only a small part of what an OEM or supplier sells to their customer. In some cases, the CAD data is not even the only document that makes us the item being sold. At the individual part level there are specification documents, reference documents, FEA results, and more that can be a critical part of the item’s definition. At the assembly level there is hardware, repair manuals, packaging and other components that typically do not get represented by designers in the CAD models.
See how these differences between the CAD tree structure and the various BOMs are handled using SmarTeam BOM. From CAD data, to Engineering BOM, to Manufacturing BOM, and finally to your ERP system, SmarTeam BOM manages these structures and presents them in an easy to use format.
